Why the PM should not be included in the Lok Pal bill

Filed under: Indian politics and economy — pramath @ 6:03 AM

Anna Hazare and company should let Kapil Sibbal finish his sentence (that is speech, not legal sentence, OK!).

When he says “the bill must not allow Lok Pal to investigate the prime minister” the next phrase he wants to utter is “there will be a constitutional guarantee that a prime minister will NEVER be corrupt.”

Let the poor guy finish his sentence, please!

PS: Logic? It is power that corrupts. Do you sincerely think our PM has any powers? What does Sonia Gandhi have then?
