Government of Terroristan had a grand plan of a great firewall akin to China’s. It wanted to block 50 million sites.
Later the government dropped the plan to firewall those sites due to concerns from various stakeholders.
It is said that the most effective argument came from Interpol: “They should not be worried about malicious contents of outside sites reaching out to some of their citizens. They should be worried about some of their malicious citizens reaching out to outside sites.”
