Congress refuses Sab TV offer for videos of Manish Tiwari, Kapil Sibbal

Congress Party has reportedly recently declined an offer from the famous comedy channel, Sab TV.

The channel is reported to have offered significant sum for the videos of statements on news channels  from stars like Manish Tiwari and Kapil Sibbal.

On the condition of anonymity, one of our resources reported Mr. Tiwari and Mr. Sibbal were happy about the offer because nobody listens to them on regular news channels anymore.

When contacted, the BJP spokesperson replied that this once again proves the Nehru-Gandhi family hegemony over the party. At no cost would Congress let any other member of the party become more popular than the “royal family”. They offered the internal democracy in BJP as a counter-example and offered to show number of videos from BJP leaders like Shatrughan Sinha and the entire soap opera of Yediyuraappa case.

The communist parties directly opposed the offer. One of the CPI(M) spokesman suggested that by taking such offers CPI(M) could have become the richest political parties of India, despite its limited political reach. However, selling party archives to private holders was against the communist ideals, he added.

In the meanwhile, Congress party is reported to be unhappy about the offer because it didn’t match the scale of the auctions of coal blocks or 2G spectrum.

Yet another anonymous source added an angle that the party was unhappy because doing so would set a wrong precedence. Videos of recent speeches of the finance minister on the finance channels, terror-criticizing statements by the home minister and the entire collection of speeches of Rahul Gandhi would be more suitable candidates, the sources added.
